MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL BUILDING. A building with one or more dwelling units <br /> joined to another dwelling unit at one or more sides by a wall(s), including but not limited to an <br /> apartment building, lodging house, townhome, twin home, duplex, triplex, or quad home. <br /> RENTAL MANAGER. Any person who has been delegated by a residential rental <br /> property owner to provide day-to-day care or control of the residential rental property and who is <br /> able to respond in person to issues related to the residential rental property. The owner is the <br /> Rental Manager in the absence of the delegation referred to above. <br /> RESIDENTIAL RENTAL PROPERTY. Any building with one or more dwelling units <br /> that are occupied or intended to be occupied for residential purposes by a residential tenant. The <br /> term "residential rental property" shall include a lodging house, multiple residential building, and <br /> single-family home occupied for residential purposes by a residential tenant. <br /> RESIDENTIAL RENTAL PROPERTY OWNER. Any person or entity owning <br /> residential rental property within the City of Savage. <br /> RESIDENTIAL TENANT. A person who is occupying a dwelling unit in a residential <br /> rental property under a lease or contract, whether oral or written, that requires the payment of <br /> money or exchange of services and all other regular occupants of that dwelling unit. <br /> (Ord. 762,passed 11-16-2015) <br /> § 121.03 APPLICABILITY AND SCOPE. <br /> This Chapter applies to all residential rental property located in the City of Savage. This <br /> Chapter does not apply to homes or facilities licensed by the Minnesota Department of Health, <br /> hotels and motels where dwelling units are typically furnished to the public for periods of less <br /> than one week, or owner-occupied dwelling units. <br /> (Ord. 762,passed 11-16-2015) <br /> § 121.04 RENTAL MANAGER REQUIRED. <br /> (A) Each residential rental property owner shall appoint a rental manager upon whom <br /> the City may lawfully serve notices pertaining to the administration of this or any other chapter <br /> of the City Code or state or federal law. Service upon the rental manager shall be effective as <br /> service upon the residential rental property owner. <br /> (B) A residential rental property owner may serve as the rental manager if the <br /> residential rental property owner is able to provide day-to-day care or control of the residential <br /> rental property and is able to respond in person to issues related to the residential rental property. <br /> (Ord. 762,passed 11-16-2015) <br /> Page 2 of 5 <br />
